Using the Visayan word “Gugma,” DJ Loonyo, or Rhemuel Lunio in real life, publicly introduced his girlfriend Faye Protacio. On August 10, the social media influencer shared some photos with Protacio, who is also a choreographer, hinting that his heart is now happy.
In an interview with PEP.ph, he described Protacio’s arrival as a blessing in his life because he now has someone who listens to him.
Lunio said,
“Someone will listen to you, you have an exit, you always have a second opinion. He is a blessing, I’m really inspired to do more.”
According to him, having someone to celebrate with and lean on during tough times is a big help. he explained,
“It’s a big help that we have a special person in our lives. I’ve tried nothing, and there are times you want to celebrate but you have nothing to say. You have slight or small problems, but you have nothing to complain about.”
Lunio added,
“Despite not being in showbiz, Protacio is also popular on social media and has a large following on TikTok. However, Lunio says that they understand each other’s respective professions. Lunio said,
“Every time we have a job, I make sure to say, ‘This is how it is.’ I get that, and we understand each other in that aspect.”
Before Protacio, DJ Loonyo was linked to actress Ivana Alawi, but their relationship did not progress. Last April, he became a full-fledged recording artist with the release of his singles “Teka Muna” and “Dance Under the Sun” under Universal Records.
Lunio first gained recognition on social media when his dance cover of “Fight Song” for front liners went viral last year.
